4-H Volunteers are the foundation of our great program. They come from all walks of life and from every corner of Hamilton Wentworth Region. Volunteers bring enthusiasm, energy and skills and knowledge to the 4-H program.
Hamilton Wentworth 4-H is dedicated to the personal development of youth while providing a positive impact on volunteers and communities in Hamilton Wentworth.
We will help promote your club, recruit members, and find you resources. Come and join the fun and exciting world of being a 4-H leader!
How to Become a Leader
- Contact Heather Dillon, 905-659-2062, Hamilton Wentworth 4-H Association Volunteer Contact, and tell her “I would like to be a 4-H Leader!”
- Successfully complete the Ontario 4-H Council Volunteer Recruitment and Screening Process.
- Choose one from many quality, innovative 4-H club projects.
- Find a time and a place for your club meetings. Spend a minimum of 12 hours of meeting time on each club project, and participate in an achievement program.
- Enjoy making a difference in young peoples lives as you help them to learn and develop new skills. You might even learn something yourself!
